Hilton International Americas Deploying SunSystems Hospitality Performance Management

HITEC 2022, Dallas, TX – Wednesday, June 23, 2022: Systems Union Inc., developers of SunSystems, today announced that Hilton International Americas has developed models for, and is initiating deployment of SunSystems Hospitality Performance Management (HPM), the advanced analytics solution created by Systems Union.

Hilton International Americas has plans to deploy SunSystems HPM across all 27 of its hotels in the Americas. HPM is expected to automate Hilton’s budgeting processes and improve its ability to access relevant business data.   Hilton International Americas, which uses (or has plans to use) SunSystems Financials package in all 27 locations, selected HPM based on the product’s flexibility and ability to be deployed and operated according to the hotel chain’s existing policies and procedures.

Standardized Budgeting Processes

Currently, Hilton International Americas, like so many other organizations, works with more labor-intensive budgeting processes that rely heavily on manual procedures. Often, these processes are viewed as less efficient and very time-consuming. Moreover, finance team find inputting errors to be unavoidable in these scenarios – especially errors related to various currency exchanges and languages. Hilton International Americas believes its deployment of SunSystems HPM will eliminate such problems.

SunSystems HPM will completely automate and centralize data management for the budgeting process, eliminating opportunities for error, improving the ability to monitor the planning process, and dramatically accelerating budgeting procedures. Hilton also expects to realize significant cost reductions and productivity enhancements from its deployment. Reporting and forecasting accuracy will also improve.

Flexibility and Ease of Use

Hilton International will be able to access data from any system or platform with HPM. With the back office standardized on SunSystems Financials, HPM will pull data from all other enterprise systems, such as ERP, POS and Guest Relationship Optimization (GRO) systems. This will allow Hilton International to quickly and easily access and report meaningfully on all types of business data.

SunSystems HPM works within the organization’s existing business processes and framework. Hilton International Americas will not need to change their business procedures in order to maximize their investment. Nor will Hilton require significant consulting resources. The solution is easy to learn and maintain, requiring minimal overhead investments.

By integrating its budgeting and planning processes between the front office and back office, Hilton International Americas now has the ability to forecast for future business activity at any time. Data from all 27 hotel locations can be consolidated and queried on any number of scenarios, such as determining the effect on tourism events on reservations, or analyzing the revenue impact of marketing promotions during the year.
